About the Holiday Farm Fire
The Holiday Farm Fire erupted on September 7, 2020 at approximately 8:20 p.m. along Hwy 126 west of the McKenzie Bridge to Vida, Oregon. As of September 21st, the fire has burned 173,025 acres and destroyed at least 431 homes and resulted in at least 1 fatality. According to the Oregonian, witnesses reported hearing a loud explosion and a shower of blue sparks from a power line near milepost 47 on Orgeon 126, the exact location where fire officials have pinpointed the start of the fire.
